Meet the Founder

Kimberly Dudley

The visionary founder behind The Mommy And Me Initiative. As a devoted mother of four wonderful children – one son and three daughters – Kimberly’s personal experiences have shaped her passion for maternal, infant, and child health. With a background in Public Health and ongoing pursuit of her doctorate at Walden University, Kimberly brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. Her commitment to addressing social determinants of health in high-risk communities is evident in her leadership within the organization.
The Mommy And Me Initiative serves as a nonprofit educational and resource center dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of mothers, infants, and families. Our center offers a wide range of educational programs, workshops, and resources focused on prenatal and postnatal care, infant health and safety, and maternal well-being. Through evidence-based curricula and expert guidance, we empower parents and caregivers with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the journey of parenthood confidently. Additionally, our center provides access to essential resources such as baby items, personal care products, and food assistance, ensuring that families have the support they need to thrive. At The Mommy And Me Initiative, we are committed to fostering a nurturing and supportive community where every family can flourish.
Kimberly’s journey in early childhood education and her role as a certified CPR Instructor highlight her dedication to empowering parents with essential skills and knowledge. Beyond her professional endeavors, Kimberly serves on the Emergency Medical Response Team at her church, where her belief in a mission inspired by faith drives her to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
As a member of the Ohio Public Health Association, Kimberly actively contributes to the advancement of public health initiatives and policies in the state. Driven by her passion and a calling from God, Kimberly’s vision for The Mommy And Me Initiative is rooted in compassion, empathy, and a deep-seated commitment to supporting families in need. Through her leadership and tireless efforts, Kimberly strives to create a nurturing and supportive community where every parent and child can thrive, regardless of their circumstances.
What Our Mission

The Mommy And Me Initiative:

Served over 200+ women in Cuyahoga County, addressing critical maternal and child health needs.

 

Provided free Infant CPR classes to over 40 parents and caregivers, equipping them with life-saving skills.

 

Distributed over 300 baby boxes, each including diapers, wipes, bottles, and other essential items for newborns.

 

Conducted 10+ educational workshops, focusing on prenatal care, postpartum wellness, and infant development.

 

Hosted an Infant Safe Sleep event, distributing baby items such as car seats and pack-and-plays to over 150 women to promote safe sleep practices.

 

Provided referrals and assistance with mental health services, housing support, Medicaid applications, employment resources, and solutions for food insecurity, connecting over 100 families to essential resources and addressing SDOH barriers.

 

Partnered with local organizations to provide 20+ families with transitional housing and support services.

 

Distributed care packages with personal items to over 200 families, addressing immediate needs and providing comfort during challenging times.

 

Helped connect over 100 women to Medicaid and healthcare providers for prenatal and postpartum care.

 

Delivered emergency support for housing, food, and baby supplies to 75 families in crisis situations.

 

Advocated for maternal health equity and collaborated with public health agencies to improve outcomes for underserved populations, closing gaps in access to care and services.
What Our Vision
Our vision at The Mommy And Me Initiative is to eliminate infant mortality, maternal morbidity, and maternal mortality. We envision a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive and every mother receives the care and support she needs for a healthy pregnancy and postpartum experience. Through our comprehensive programs and initiatives, we strive to address the root causes of these issues, promote access to quality healthcare, and empower families with the knowledge and resources necessary to achieve optimal maternal and infant health outcomes. By working collaboratively with communities and stakeholders, we aim to create a world where every pregnancy is safe, and every mother and baby have the opportunity to flourish.
