Our Mission
The Mommy And Me Initiative is dedicated to addressing the root causes of infant mortality, maternal mortality, and morbidity through comprehensive, equitable, and culturally competent support. With infant mortality rates in Ohio significantly higher than the national average especially among Black infants our mission is to empower, educate, and equip underserved women and families with the resources they need to ensure healthy pregnancies, safe deliveries, and thriving infants. By bridging gaps in healthcare access and addressing social determinants of health (SDOH), we aim to reduce health disparities, improve birth outcomes, and support maternal and child health in underserved communities.
Our CORE Values:

  1. Compassion
We serve with heart. Every mother, child, and family we support is treated with care, empathy, and respect no matter their circumstances.
  2. Opportunity
We believe every family deserves access to resources, education, and support that foster healthy beginnings and lifelong well-being.
  3. Resilience
We empower families to overcome challenges and build stronger futures through holistic, culturally responsive support and advocacy.
  4. Equity
We are committed to addressing health disparities by promoting inclusive, fair, and just systems of care especially for underserved and marginalized communities.
Our Vision
Our vision is a world where every mother and child has access to high-quality, culturally sensitive care that supports their health and well-being. We envision communities where all women regardless of race, socioeconomic status, or background are empowered to have healthy pregnancies, safe births, and successful postpartum journeys. By eliminating systemic barriers, we will foster an environment where every family has the support they need to thrive.
